The Power of Kindness and Culture: Reimagining Workforce Development to address health inequalities

Synopsis:
In a time of growing health disparities and global uncertainty, the need for a compassionate, culturally grounded workforce has never been more urgent.
This keynote will explore how kindness—as both a leadership principle and a daily practice—can reshape workforce development in health and social care. Coupled with a deep appreciation for culture, both organisational and community-based, we can build systems that are more benevolent resilient, inclusive, and equitable.
Drawing evidence, experience and leading thinking, this session will highlight how embedding empathy, and cultural and emotional intelligence can drive better outcomes.
From mental health burnout in healthcare workers to the systemic barriers that marginalised communities face, this keynote makes the case that kindness is not a soft skill—it’s a strategic imperative.
Once other Keynote Speakers are confirmed, they will be added here.
